Marilyn White Obituary

Ms. Marilyn White, a beacon of joy and steadfastness, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on September 20, 1940, to her loving parents, the late Harold and Elsie White, Marilyn lived a life marked by unwavering faith, passion for her interests, and deep love for her family and friends.

Marilyn was the cherished sister of Joan Simon, and she was a guiding light in the lives of her one nephew and four nieces. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald Smith, Richard Smith, and Roy White. Her familial bonds were strong, and she left behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Her heart belonged to her church, Word of Life Tabernacle, where she devoted much of her time and energy. Marilyn's commitment to her faith was evident in her actions and the grace with which she lived her life. Those who knew her often spoke of her integrity—her "yes" was a "yes," and her "no," a "no"—a testament to her honest and straightforward nature.

Marilyn's zest for life was apparent in her varied interests. She was an accomplished painter of ceramics, bringing beauty to the world through her art. Travel was another of her passions, allowing her to explore new places and experience diverse cultures. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching Western movies, feeling the thrill of fast rides at theme parks, and the exhilaration of speeding cars.

Green, the color of life and renewal, was Marilyn's favorite, reflecting her vibrant personality and her love for growth and new beginnings. Cats held a special place in her heart, and she found companionship and comfort in their presence.

Ms. Marilyn White's life was one of purpose, adventure, and kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her, leaving behind memories that will be treasured forever. Her spirit, a blend of compassion and vitality, will continue to inspire those she has left behind. Marilyn's journey through life was a testament to the power of living authentically and with conviction, and she will be remembered with fondness and respect.
