Mr. Mark Burrow, age 84, of Monticello, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Born on October 17, 1941, in Decatur, Georgia, Mark was the beloved son of Dick and Sadie Burrow, who preceded him in death.
Mark spent his formative years in Clarkston, where he graduated from Clarkston High School. Driven by a sense of duty, he entered the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country. After his military service, Mark began a distinguished career with Georgia Power, where he held a variety of positions and ultimately retired as an equipment specialist.
A devoted member of Stark Methodist Church, Mark was known for his faith and his commitment to his community. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, traveling to the beach, and raising cows. Mark was also a proud Mason, belonging to Mansfield Masonic Lodge F&AM #489.
Mr. Burrow’s life was marked by service, generosity, and kindness. He will be remembered for his warmth, his unwavering work ethic, and the many joyful moments he shared with family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Burrow is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Salil Burrow; his children Marc Burrow (Kim) of Covington and Kelly Grant (Jason) of Johns Creek; his grandchildren Caitlin, Cameron, Carrigan, Madeline, and Harper; his great grandchild Leilani; his sister Sadie Howard of Jackson; his beloved companion Bentley; along with several nieces, nephews, other family members, and many close friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Burrow will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Stark Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Wooten officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church prior to the service on Thursday. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these services.
