Mr. Mark Wayne Digby passed away on February 28, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on August 2, 1963, in Covington, GA, as the beloved son of Douglas and Nettie Digby, both of whom preceded him in death. Wayne's legacy continues through his devoted wife, Deana Digby, with whom he shared over 20 years of joyous marriage, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
A lifelong farmer, Wayne found his calling in the fields and pastures of his beloved Georgia. His passion for farming was more than a profession—it was a way of life that he embraced with every sunrise. Wayne's happiest moments were during hay season, where he and his dear friends, Charles and Chuck Woodward, would work tirelessly, side by side, cutting hay and sharing in the fruits of their labor. The camaraderie and bonds formed during these times were unbreakable and a source of great pride for Wayne.
In addition to his love for the land, Wayne enjoyed the adventure of hauling cows with his friend Scott Craig. These journeys were not just about the work but about the stories, the laughter, and the companionship that came with each trip. Wayne's presence made every task lighter, and his humor brought smiles to even the longest of days.
Wayne's life was a testament to the value of hard work, the importance of friendship. As we bid farewell to Wayne, his memory will be cherished like the rarest of crops, continuing to yield love and inspiration in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with these services.
