Martha "Marti" Cronan

Martha “Marti” Cronan, age 71, of Conyers passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021.  She was born on November 9, 1949 in Porterdale to John Jeptha Sr and Truby Rutledge Cronan who have preceded her in death.  Marti enjoyed yard sales, flea markets, and antiquing.  She grew up in Covington and attended Newton County High School.  Marti loved her animals and was preceded in death by her dog “Buffi” and is survived by her dog “Oreo”.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Mildred Price, and her brother John Cronan, Jr. 

Ms. Cronan is survived by her children Rhonda and Rod Cronan of Rutledge, and Kristie and Buddy McCowan of Covington, her grandchildren William Cronan (Kasey) of Social Circle, Stephanie Criswell (Preston) of Rutledge, and Haven McCowan of Covington her great grandchildren Lucas, Ava, Abbi, Cole, Arley, and Myles her brothers and sister Charles Cronan of Greensboro, Gene Cronan of Monticello, Bud Cronan of Monticello, Joe Cronan of McDonough, and Lee Ann Abbott of McDonough along with a host of other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Cronan will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Walden officiating.  Interment will follow at Bethany Presbyterian Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time on Friday.  J.C. As of April 8, 2021, Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.  However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time. If you are sick, not feeling well, or have any symptoms of COVID 19, please do not attend the service or services.  If you feel the need to wear a mask, please do so.
