Mary Henderson

Mrs. Mary Henderson, age 93, of Covington passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022.  She was born in Lancaster, New York on December 18, 1928 to Luke and Mabel Kimbrough who have both preceded her in death. Mrs. Henderson grew up in Buffalo, New York and attended Florence State College.  She was a substitute teacher and a Librarian, she also enjoyed playing bridge, and was a member of Covington First United Methodist Church.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Henderson and her sister, Jane Finn

Mrs. Henderson is survived by her children; Billy Henderson of Houston, TX, Randy Henderson (Janna) of W. Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Taylor Childers (Allen) of El Dorado, AR, Hayley Henderson of W. Monroe, LA and Shepard; great-granddaughter, Colleen; nieces and nephews, Mary Jo, Kathy, and Chris; along with of family members and close friends. 

A memorial service for Mrs. Henderson will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 11 am at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home with The Reverend Dr. Douglas Gilreath officiating. 

Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.  However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time.
