Mary (Young) Jones

Mrs. Mary Jones, age 82, of Covington passed away Monday, February 12, 2018.  She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on August 11, 1935 to George Alfred and Idella Sims Young who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Jones was a member of The Church at Covington.  She owned and operated Jones Ferns and Goose Creek Crafts and Gifts for a number of years.  Mrs. Jones was an avid reader.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her son Mark Alan Jones and is survived by her husband Jack Jones, Sr her sons and daughter-in-law Mike and Susan Jones of Monroe and Jack Jones, Jr of Covington.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael, Greg, Brian, Hailley and Dillon her great grandchildren Breann, Seth, Tate, Houston, Isabella and Olivia and her cousin Rachel Proffitt of Knoxville along with a host of other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Rob Raynor officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday prior to the service.  J.C.
