Matthew Anthony

Mr. Matthew Anthony, age 75, of Roswell passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024.  He was born in Johannesburg, South Africia on October 13, 1948.  Mr. Anthony grew up in South Africia a lived around the world in various cities including; St. Andrews, Scotland, Cape Town, South Africia, Durban, South Africia, London, England, and most recently Atlanta, Georgia.

He was a wonderful person who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  A talented athlete Matthew enjoyed playing soccer, and boxing, both participating and coaching. 

Mr. Anthony was a restaurateur and worked alongside his family owning several restaurants around Atlanta; 10° South, Yebo, Biltong, and The Cape. He was preceded in death by his father Frank Anthony, his mother Vera Peters, and his brother Gary Peters.

Mr. Anthony is survived by his wife Lisa Anthony; his step daughters Ashley Waldron and Allison Greathouse; his grandchildren Donovan Kirk, Shelby Greathouse, Paisley Greathouse, and Emma Waldron; his siblings Derrick Anthony, Belinda Peters-Dominique, Cecelia Dos Santos, and Larry Peters; his mother-in-law Gladys Kraudy; his brother-in-law Michael Kelley (Allison); along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of close friends.

A celebration of life for Matthew is being planned by his family and will be announced soon.
