Maureen (Kelly) Pennington

Mrs. Maureen Pennington, age 73, of Conyers passed away December 30, 2021.  She was born February 6, 1948 in Atlanta to Joe and Mabel Kelly who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Pennington grew up in Conyers and was a member of Rockdale Baptist Church.  She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.  Mrs. Pennington worked for Atlanta Cutlery as a purchasing manager and retired in 2019.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her son Kelly Pennington. 

Mrs. Pennington is survived by her husband Graham Pennington; her son and daughters-in-law Lyle and Vicki Pennington of Denver, Colorado, and Trina Pennington of Covington; her granddaughter Destiny Gauthier of Covington; her great grandchild Wrenley Perry of Covington; her brother and sister-in-law Joe and Debra Kelly of Covington; along with a host of other family and close friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, 2157 East Street, SE, Covington, GA 30014. 

Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.  However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time. If you are sick, not feeling well, or have any symptoms of COVID 19, please do not attend the service or services.  If you feel the need to wear a mask, please do so.
