This obituary was lovingly prepared by his family.
In HIS infinite wisdom and gentle grace, Almighty God reached down from Heaven and whispered to one of His children, "Come with ME my son, for it's time to go home". And so it was on November 19, 2024, God closed the eyes of our beloved Zach.
Michael Zachary “Zach” Willis was born July 13, 1970 in Decatur, Georgia. He embraced life with an open heart, his children being his greatest joy. Zach found pleasure in hunting, fishing and anything pertaining to nature and the outdoors. He was always ready for an adventure and a good laugh, loved animals, and watching and feeding his birds. Zach graduated from Lithonia High School where he played sports and was on the swim team. After graduating, he attended DeKalb Technical School. Zach earned his State EMT certification and loved helping others. Later, he continued his career becoming a self-employed carpenter, following both Grandfathers in their love of construction.
Zach leaves to cherish fond memories: Daughter, Hailee Michele Willis; Son, Michael Stanley Willis, both of Covington, Georgia.
