Michelle DeRee Gooch

Michelle DeRee Gooch, age 54, of Covington passed away July 25, 2024.  She was born August 19, 1969 in Conyers to Elmer and Diane Gooch.  Michelle grew up in Conyers and was a 1987 graduate of Rockdale County High School. She worked as a medical coder and enjoyed collecting sea shells, watching sunsets, playing sports, and being with her grandchildren. Michelle was saved at a young age while attending Highland Park Baptist Church. She was recently preceded in death by her father Elmer Gooch. 

Michelle is survived by daughter Hiedi Gooch and Ahmad; her grandchildren Cebastian Bush and Charleston Bush; her mother Diane Gooch; her brother and sister-in-law Sammy and Cathy Gooch; her sister Ricki Ray; her nieces and nephews Carly Gooch, Cody Cain, Dylan Gooch, William Ray, Hunter Cain, Zachary Gooch, Amber Taylor, Whitney Wilson, Ryan Bush, and Crystal Nolan; friends Jina, Tori, and Austin Pulliam; along with numerous other family members and many close friends. 

A Gathering of Friends will be held from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM on Monday, July 29, 2024 at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, 2157 East Street S.E., Covington, GA 30014.  In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Susan G.
