Mickey Lamar Coady Obituary

Mr. Mickey Lamar Coady passed away on May 19, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on April 3, 1954, in Covington, Georgia, he lived a life marked by hard work, family devotion, and a quiet, steady kindness that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Mickey was a man who valued simple things and found joy in an honest day’s work. He spent 21 years employed in maintenance at the Georgia FFA Center, where he was respected for his dependability, strong work ethic, and dedication to the job he loved. Mickey took pride in doing things the right way, and his commitment to his work reflected the character by which he lived his life. He was the kind of man others could count on, and his presence was a steady one among those who had the privilege of working beside him.

Outside of work, Mickey embraced life as a good ole country boy and a simple man. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and these pastimes brought him peace and happiness. Whether he was spending time outdoors or enjoying the familiar comforts of home and family, Mickey appreciated the life he had built and the people who shared it with him. He was known for his down-to-earth nature, his easygoing spirit, and the genuine way he carried himself each day.

Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, Luby Early “Doc” Coady, Jewell Frances and John William Head, his brothers Junior and Jerry Coady, and his brothers-in-law, Hoyt Coleman Corley and Richard Gerald Nolan. Their memory remained an important part of his life, and he carried his family ties with deep respect and love.

He is survived by his son, Brandon Coady, and his wife, Mindy, as well as his grandson, Levi Coady, who brought him great joy. He is also survived by his siblings, Frances Veronica Corley, Joyce Patricia Nolan, and Charlie Hugh Coady and his wife, Essie Mae. In addition, he leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends who will remember him with love and gratitude
