Mr. Jimmy Parr

Mr. Jimmy Parr, age 68 of Covington, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024.  He was born in Conyers on February 7, 1956 to Hewlett and Shirley Parr who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Parr grew up in Conyers and graduated from Rockdale High School.  He was a mechanic and worked for the State of Georgia and Penske.  Mr. Parr enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Joanie Parr Roland and his brother Ronnie Parr.

Mr. Parr is survived by his sons Wesley Parr (Bridget) of Social Circle, and Jesse Parr of Covington; his grandchildren Lyla, Katie, and Madilyn; his sister Judy Hardy; along with several nieces, nephews, other family members, and many close friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Sorrells officiating.  The family will gather with friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service on Saturday.
