Mr. Johnny Pickens age 66 of Sandersville, GA passed away Monday, April 8, 2024.  He was born June 14, 1957 to Bill and Joanne Pickens and grew up in Lithonia, GA.  Johnny loved working with horses and was a jockey in his younger years.  Johnny was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Stanley (Linda) Pickens and his son Chad Pickens.

Johnny is survived by his children Brandy Paul and Scarlett (Richie) Clark; sisters Lynn Patterson and Martha Patrick; niece and nephew Keith (Cristan) Patterson and Kenneth (Tina) Pickens along with many other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Almon Baptist Church, 121 Almon Rd. Covington, GA 30014.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the family to assist with expenses.
