Nora Ann (Etheredge) Wade

Nora Ann Etheredge Wade, age 49, of Covington passed away Thursday, November 25, 2021.  She was born on July 23, 1972 in Anchorage, Alaska and grew up in Lithonia and Conyers.  She graduated from Heritage High School in 1990 and received her associates degree from Clayton State College.  Nora worked in human resources and IT for various companies and also designed websites.  She enjoyed sewing, sitting on her “Front Porch Paradise”, and arts and crafts.  Nora was Baptist by faith and a member of Zion Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Nikki Wade and her parents Charles Etheredge and Kay Weidman Goddard.  Nora is survived by her daughter Samantha Kay Wade of Savannah; her honorary grandchild Nicky Shannon of Covington; her baby brother Zachary O'Neil Shannon; her step brothers and sisters Scott Goddard, Sean Goddard, Lisa Carroll, and Tammy Goddard.  She was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins who were her first best friends, and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Services for Nora will be held at 4 o’clock Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the service.  J.C. Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.  However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time. If you are sick, not feeling well, or have any symptoms of COVID 19, please do not attend the service or services.  If you feel the need to wear a mask, please do so.
