Mrs. Olive Alexander, age 92, of Mansfield, Georgia passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024. She was born on September 10, 1932 to George and Jemima Reynolds who have preceded her in death. Mrs. Alexander was born in Wells-Next-The-Sea, England and later moved to the United States in 1953 at almost 20 years of age. She was known to be feisty and “tell it like it is.” Mrs. Alexander had a long career at Rockdale Pre-School Academy. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cross stitching. Mrs. Alexander adored her precious cat, Callie. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John P. Alexander Sr.; sons, John P. Jr and Micheal Wayne Alexander; grandson, Johnny Keith Alexander and granddaughter, Monica Alexander.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by her children, Darrell K. Alexander along with his wife Liz of Mansfield and daughter-in-law Teresa Kay Alexander of Conyers, six grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 o’clock on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Lakewood Memory Gardens South, 325 Greens Lake Road, Rossville, GA 30741 with Scott O’Neal officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00PM Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home.
