Mr. Paul K. Adams, age 87, a Retired United States Navy Commander passed away February 5, 2024. He was born April 26, 1936 in Milford, New Jersey to Harold and Louise Adams who have preceded him in death. Mr. Adams grew up in Milford and join the United States Navy in 1959. During his time of service, he was stationed on the USS Ranger CVA-61 during the Vietnam War and later served as an Inspector General traveling across the country inspecting food service facilities for the Navy. Commander Adams received numerous commendations and awards including the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, the Foreign Unit Award, Vietnam Service Medal, and a Meritorious Service Medal. He would spend 24 years serving in the Navy and retired in 1982.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie Adams Dieumegarde and is survived by his wife Marjorie Adams; his son-in-law Rick Dieumegarde; his brother Alan Adams; along with numerous other family members and many close friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Covington First United Methodist Church with Reverend Chris Shurtz officiating.
