Paulette "Polly" Canup

Mrs. Paulette “Polly” Canup, age 77, of Covington, Georgia passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020.  She was born September 9, 1942 to Lee and Leila Green who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Canup was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.  She was a member of Harvest Baptist Church.  Mrs. Canup was known as making “the best homemade biscuits on earth.”  She had a very giving heart, would give her last dollar to anyone in need, and opened her home to anyone who needed a place to rest.  Mrs. Canup enjoyed doing word search puzzles in her spare time.  She is preceded in death by her husband James Canup, son Dennis Canup, grandson Charlie Canup, brother Hubert Green, sisters Martha Gibson and Helen Beal.

Mrs. Canup is survived by her children, Brenda Hall and husband Terry, Glenda Smith and husband Gary, grandchildren Matthew Smith and Sherry Black and her husband Josh, great grandson Beau Black, her twin brother Paul Green and wife Judy, her brother Lloyd Green and wife Lizzie, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and close friends.

Graveside services for Mrs. Canup will be held at 4:30pm Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Lawnwood Memorial Garden. With Pastor Richard Culpepper officiating.
