Phillip Wright

Mr. Phillip Wright, age 58, of Covington passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018.  He was born March 28, 1960 in Monroe, Georgia and grew up in Covington.  Mr. Wright loved playing music especially the harmonica and the guitar; he also enjoyed dancing, fishing, and camping.  Mr. Wright was a member of Gospel Mission Church in Covington.  He was preceded in death by his father Rudolph Wright, his brother Thomas “Budgie” Wright, and his sister Melinda Mae Wright.

Mr. Wright is survived by his mother Ruth Wright of Covington, wife Valerie Harp of Covington, his grandchildren Braylon Jenkins, Adyn Harris, Liam Harp, Camryn Gordon, and Jacob Gordon, his sisters and brothers-in-law Joy and Rick Faulkner of Rome and Barbara and Terry Patton of Covington, his brother and sister-in-law Timmy and Donna Wright of Covington along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Wright will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Gospel Mission Church with Reverend Wayne Whitley officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 13, 2018.  J.C.
