Richard Gunter

Richard H. Gunter, 76, of Covington, formerly of Atlanta, died January 24. He was
born January 2, 1948, in Atlanta to Johnnie Mae Hamby Gunter and George Q. Gunter. He was a
veteran of the US Army and in his life worked as a paramedic with Grady Memorial Hospital, as
an usher at the Omni arena, as a printer, and volunteered with the Cub Scout program. He is
preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bill, Jerry, and Dan, and his sister Pat. He is
survived by his sons, Gerald and Michael, both of Woodstock, Georgia; and his sister Peggy
Webb of Marietta, Georgia.

Services will be held February 25 at 3:00pm in the garden of First Presbyterian Church,
Covington, Rev. Neeley Rentz Lane presiding and March 3 at 2:00 pm at the Episcopal Church
of the Annunciation, Marietta, Fr. Paul McCabe officiating.
