Richard "Pops" Tribble Obituary

Richard "Pops" Tribble, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on July 19, 1955, in Greer, South Carolina, Pops was a man whose radiant kindness and friendly nature touched the lives of all who knew him.

Pops was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Nancy Tribble, his brother Bill Tribble, and his sister Edna Alley. His zest for life and loving presence will be profoundly missed by his cherished children, Clayanne Wolfe, James Tribble, Julie Jones (married to Trevor), and Katie Tribble. Pops adored his grandchildren—Madison, Dylan, Anslee, Jackson, Brody, and Dallas—who brought him immeasurable joy.

He is survived by his siblings, Linda Atkinson, Delores Dees, Claire Caldwell, and Edwin Tribble, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many close friends who had the honor of experiencing his warm and giving spirit.

A proud graduate of Clarkston High School, Pops dedicated 43 years of service as a U.S. Mail Carrier in Clarkston, where he was a familiar and welcome face to the community he served so faithfully. His pursuits outside of work reflected the same joy he carried through life; Pops was an avid golfer, a passionate guitar player, loved fishing, and found serene happiness at the beach.

Described by those who loved him as kind, friendly, and loving, Pops's memory will carry on in the countless lives he enriched with his gentle and affable demeanor. His memory will reside forever in the hearts of those he touched, as a reminder of the pure joy he found in the simple pleasures of life and the love he freely shared with the world.
