Rick Daniel

Mr. Rick Daniel, age 77, a lifelong resident of Porterdale passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025.  He was born September 23, 1947 in Porterdale to Frank and Erma Daniel who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Daniel served proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of Christ Cornerstone Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.  Mr. Daniel owned and operated Precision Automotive Service.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Wanda, and his brothers Allen and Lynn.

Mr. Daniel is survived by his wife Carol Daniel; his daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Troy Phillips; his son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Rhonda Daniel; his grandchildren Audrey Rhodes (Levi), Daniel Phillips (Kaitlynn), and Elizabella Daniel; his great grandchild Scarlett Rhodes; his siblings Larry, Sherrie, and Benita; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and many close friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Daniel will be held at 2 o’clock Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Payne officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, March 9, 2025.  In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at https://www.stjude.org/ .
