Rita Lynn Jones

Mrs. Rita Lynn Jones passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on December 16, 1961, Rita's life was a tapestry rich with love for her family, joy in simple pleasures, and dedication to her work and interests.

Rita was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alan Jones, who was her true soul mate in every sense of the word. Together, they shared an unbreakable bond and an adoration for each other that was evident to all who knew them. Rita was also preceded in death by her cherished mother, Patsy Ann Blackstock, and her dear siblings, Theresa Blackstock Smith, Dorthey "Jenny" Leona Walden, and Jeff "Bodeen" Blackstock.

She is survived by her loving siblings: Annette Owenby, Mark Blackstock, Tina McCurley (and husband Roger), and Serena Terry. Rita's role as a sister was one she held close to her heart, and her love and laughter will forever echo in the lives of her family. Rita was also a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews, who will miss her warm presence and the joy she brought to family gatherings.

Rita's professional life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her role at Walmart, where she worked for over twenty years as a produce stocker. Her colleagues will remember her for her hardworking nature, her willingness to help, and her infectious smile that brightened even the busiest of days.

Beyond her work, Rita's passions were many and varied. She was happiest when surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the lake, a place where she found serenity and joy. Music was another source of happiness for Rita; she loved to sing along to her favorite tunes, especially while driving. Her car was often filled with melodies and laughter, as she never missed a chance to express her love for music.

Above all, Rita was a loving sister and a devoted family member who cherished the time spent with her loved ones. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her nurturing spirit, and the love she so freely gave.
