Robert Hudson

Mr. Robert Hudson, age 83, of Covington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 25, 2025. Born on September 20, 1942, in Conyers, Georgia, Robert was the beloved son of the late Jeff and Nora Hudson. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Dianne Hudson, his sister, Martha Jane Harrison, and his brother, Marcus Glenn Hudson.

Robert was a man of many passions. He found joy in the great outdoors, spending countless hours hunting and fishing. A true fan, he loved cheering on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and was always up for playing the lottery. Known for his skilled hands and strong work ethic, Robert dedicated many years to his career as a paint and body man, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and customers alike.

Family was the cornerstone of Robert’s life. He is survived by his loving children: Rhonda and Johnny Tilson; Todd and Kim Hudson; Marcia and J.J. Ford; Kevin Hudson; and Peggy and Sean Hodges. Robert’s legacy continues through his 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of extended family and dear friends.

A memorial service to honor Robert’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, with Joshua Hudson, Russell Stansell, and Payden Frix officiating. Inurnment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday prior to the service.

Robert Hudson’s life was a testament to the values of hard work, loyalty, and love for family. He will forever be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and the lasting impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
