Robert Sylvester Pecylak

Robert Sylvester Pecylak was a caring husband, father, brother, and friend. He left this world suddenly on August 27th, 2021 at the age of 62.  Rob was born to Sylvester and Jessie Pecylak on April 30th, 1959.  He grew up in Colonia, New Jersey, where he met his wife of 36 years. Together, Rob and Kim had 2 sons: Brandon (31) and Cody (27).  In 1995, Rob and Kim moved to Illinois, where they built an extended family over the course of 23 years. Three years ago, they moved to Oxford, GA where Rob was able to retire.  Known as “Uncle Rob” to so many, he was always willing to help family, friends, and neighbors alike. Rob left his mark wherever he went as a hard worker, trusted friend, and notorious jokester.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 5:00pm until 6:00pm with a time of sharing at 6:00pm at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  The family request casual attire for the service.  In lieu of flowers, his family asks that you honor Rob’s memory with a donation to the ASPCA or a charity of your choice.  J.C. As of April 8, 2021, Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.  However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time. If you are sick, not feeling well, or have any symptoms of COVID 19, please do not attend the service or services.  If you feel the need to wear a mask, please do so.
