Roland Jackson V Obituary

Robert Roland "Ro" Jackson V was the first born to Robert Jackson IV and Laura Lynch.  Born on October 28, 2000, Roland had just begun to show the amazing potential of his spirit when he was called up early to join God and work at his side on January 16, 2020.  He was a vibrant, loving, caring, humorous young man and was serious about making life better for everyone he encountered.  He was a proud member of First Baptist Church of Conyers, where he was part of the youth group, church missions and a member of the church band, "Nature of Adonai".

Roland loved working on his car and enjoyed the freedom and the spirit of the drive.  He frequently enjoyed playing video games, working on computers and loved to cheer on his sports teams, the Braves and the Bulldogs.  He loved making music and running the sound production as well as dancing and attending concerts for his favorite band, AJR.  One of his greatest joys was sharing his time and love with his sweetheart and "Little Russian Lady", Emily Denard.  Roland was captain of his beloved cross-country team and ran with the track team as well.  He helped to found the video production program at Peachtree Academy.  He was also a member of the Robotics program, band, Spanish Honors Club, and the Literary team.  He was adored by most faculty and staff at the school.  More than anything else, Roland loved spending time with his family and friends.  Roland was preceded in death by his grandmothers; Gail Peppers and Lisa "Grams" Franklin, as well as his uncle Matthew Jackson and will be well taken care of by all of them.

Roland is survived by his father, Robert Roland Jackson IV and his stepmother Sherri Jackson; mother and stepfather Laura and Brandon Lynch; his siblings: Caitlyn, Destiny, Morgan and Hunter.  He also will be deeply missed by his grandparents, Bob and Sharon Jackson, Tony and Connie (Jackson) Young, Larry Peppers, Bob and Carolyn Lewis, Sandy Richardson and his great grandparents, Barbara and Bill Zancocchio and Bob and Jo Cihak.  He is also survived by his uncles and their families; Andy and Kate Jackson, Tom and Stephanie Jackson, Caley Jackson and Lance Peppers as well as many cousins.

A Celebration of Life for Roland will be held at 4 o’clock, Friday, January 24, 2020 at the First Baptist Church of Conyers, 2100 GA Hwy 138, NE, Conyers, GA 30013 with Pastor Blake Kutter officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the service. The family will also receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Peachtree Academy, 14101 US Hwy 278, Covington, GA 30014.
