Mr. Roscoe Womack, Jr., age 78, passed away September 3, 2021. He was born September 23, 1942 to Roscoe Sr. and Grace Womack who have preceded him in death. Mr. Womack was a superintendent of Oxford Utilities and Public Works for 48 years. He enjoyed riding in wagon trains and loved coon hunting. He is survived by his two mules, Nell and Bell, who were his pride and joy. Nell and Bell are 30 years old. Mr. Womack, along with his parents, is preceded in death by his son, Keith Womack; siblings, Leila Lucille Womack, James Daniel Womack, and Troy Lee Womack, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Rhonda Womack; son, Kevin Houston (Amanda) of Loganville; daughters, Tina Owens (Mark) of Covington, Tammy Payton (Greg) of Oxford, April Houston of Covington; grandchildren, Adam, Ace, Tequlia, Cetera, Nichole, Molly, Titus, Josh, Kole, Karson, Jeremiah “Bubba”, Anna Bell, Isabella; great-grandson, Keith Womack, Jr. and Zeke; nephews, Jody Reid and Scottie Croy, along with other family and close friends.
A graveside service will be Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 2 o’clock at Oxford Historical Cemetery with Mr. Albert Clark officiating. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, TE Davis Funeral Services, 2157 East Street, SE, Covington, GA 30014.
As of April 8, 2021, Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.
