Obituary
Samantha Coggins Odum, age 50, of Covington passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023. She was born in Covington on Tuesday, November 28, 1972 and was raised by her grandparents Junior and Ola Ree Coggins who have preceded her in death. Samantha was a 1991 graduate of Newton County High School. She was always aware of her appearance and made sure she had her make-up and lipstick just right. Samantha is survived by her children Kailyn Odum of Eatonton, Hunter Odum (Abby) of Covington, and McKinley Brantley of N. Augusta, South Carolina; her granddaughter Lakelynn; her siblings Kristy Lindsey, Jamie Coggins, and Cale Coggins; along with a host of other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 3 o’clock Sunday September 3, 2023 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service on Sunday.
