Sara (Clay) Bridewell

Mrs. Sara Bridewell, age 91, of Covington passed away Monday, April 3, 2023.  She was born in Atlanta on March 28, 1932 to William and Pearl Barron Clay who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Bridewell grew up in East Atlanta and was retired from the City of Atlanta Public Schools.  She enjoyed shopping, crossword puzzles, dancing with her husband, and nothing made her happier than being with her family.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Glenn Bridewell; her niece Lisa Marie Clay; and her son-in-law Jerry Tuttle.  She is survived by her children Barbara Tuttle of Loveland, Colorado and Kay Almand (Keith) of Madison; her grandchildren Michael Almand (Bonnie) and Matt Almand (Sloane); her great grandchildren Katelyn and Landon; her brother William Clay (Patricia) of Conyers; her grand-dogs Mattie, Libby, Riley and Sunday; along with numerous other family members and many close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bridewell will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Chad Caldwell officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday prior to the service.  J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with the services.
