Stacy McDonald

Mr. Stacy McDonald, age 60, a lifelong resident of Covington passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022.  He was born May 21, 1962 in Covington to Adrian and Patsy McDonald who have preceded him in death.  Stacy grew up in Covington and was a 1980 graduate of Newton County Comprehensive High School.  Following high school, he served in the United States Air Force.  Stacy worked for Single Source Automotive in Conyers.  His passion in life was his music; he played in and around the Atlanta Music scene for many years and was a great musician.  Along with his parents Stacy was preceded in death by his brother Brandon McDonald.   

Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife Danetta McDonald; his son and daughter-in-law Justin and Christy McDonald of Grayson; his grandchildren Collin, Greyson, and Lorelei; his siblings Mark McDonald and Andrea Hochwhorter; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many close friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 o’clock Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Oxford Historical Cemetery.  The family request that if you plan to attend you wear your favorite concert attire.
