Susan (Cook) Ewing

Mrs. Susan Ewing, age 53, of Covington passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018.  She was born July 24, 1964 in Atlanta to George and Rebecca Holcombe Cook who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Ewing grew up in Avondale and attended Avondale High School.  She drove a school bus for Newton County School Board for a number of years.  Mrs. Ewing was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She loved spending time with her family especially her grandbaby's, never missing a baseball game or a chance to watch her granddaughter as a cheerleader.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Allen Cook and her sister Donna Blankenship. 

Mrs. Ewing is survived by her husband David Ewing her sons and daughter-in-law David Ewing, Jr and Tony Ewing and his wife Caiti her daughter and son-in-law Kathy Esque and her husband Brandon along with 5 grandchildren and a host of other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ewing will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Bill McIlvain officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the funeral home.  J.C.
