Suzanne "Sue" (Van Ditta) Corbett

Suzanne “Sue” Corbett, age 65, of Monticello formerly of Severn, Maryland passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024.  She was born March 24, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland to Francis and Ellen Patricia Van Ditta who have preceded her in death.  Sue grew up in Severn, Maryland and attended Glen Burnie High School.  She worked in various position with the United States Postal Service in Maryland.  Sue enjoyed shopping, traveling, genealogy, and spending time with her family.  She was a Christian by faith and a member of Eastridge Community Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas W. Corbett. 

Ms. Corbett is survived by her fiancé John Meo; her children Jacquelene Corbett of Maryland, Elizabeth F. Corbett (Billie Buie) of Whitsett, NC, and Christopher Thomas Corbett (Irma) of Severn, MD; her grandchildren Noah, Brayden, Maycee, Fionn, and Lyla; her siblings Yvonne Rodbell, Joyce Cookson, Mark Van Ditta, Patricia Catterton, and Amy Marshall; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many close friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10 o’clock Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Mitchell Thompson officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Monday prior to the service.
