Tabatha Strickland, age 37 of Hillsboro passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026. She was born June 22, 1988, in Covington, Georgia, and grew up in Monticello.
Tabatha graduated from Jasper County High School and was a member of Callie Fuller Baptist Church. Those who knew her best will remember that she found joy in the simple things she loved most, including playing on her tablet, listening to country music, and enjoying a Coca-Cola. She will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her.
She is survived by her father and stepmother, Tim Strickland and Shelly; her mother, Patricia Smith; her stepfather, Jeff Smith; her brother, Brian Strickland; her sister, Nikki Howard and her husband Mac; and her stepbrother, Gabe Smith. She also leaves behind her aunts and uncles, Lisa Cowan and Billy, Tracy Parker, Lynn Whitehead and Steve, Wendy Ginn and Steve, Tommy Fuller and Pat, and James Fuller and Teresa, along with numerous cousins, other family members, and many close friends who will cherish her memory always.
Tabatha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sue and James Fuller, and Howard Strickland; her uncle, Chris Strickland; and her aunt, Melanie Call. Though her family grieves her passing, they take comfort in the love she shared and the lasting memories she created throughout her life.
A memorial service for Tabatha will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Callie Fuller Baptist Church, 2690 Hwy 212 W., Monticello, GA 31064, with Reverend Charles Roper officiating.
