Terry M. Simmons

Mr. Terry M. Simmons, age 65, a lifelong resident of Covington passed away Friday, June 10, 2022.  He was born on April 14, 1957 to Ellis and Jean McGiboney Simmons who have preceded him in death.  Mr. Simmons grew up in Covington and enjoyed watching wrestling, Southern Rock and Country concerts, and loved NASCAR.  He worked as a tow truck driver and once towed Bill Elliott’s car.  Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife Annette Simmons; his daughters and sons-in-law Venus Cannon and her husband Adam of Covington, and Felicia Hodges and her husband Ryan of Odessa, Florida.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Lilianna and Michael; and his brother Tim Simmons of Ellenwood along with numerous other family and close friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Simmons will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Sheppard officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, June 13, 2022.  J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
