Thad Pate

Mr. Thad Pate, beloved husband, father, Pa-Pa, and son, passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 48. He was born on February 2, 1977, in Anniston, Alabama. A man with a passion for the outdoors, Thad enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and scuba diving. He was also a devoted fan of Alabama Football.

Thad was an active member of the Dove Stone Church, where he found fellowship and spiritual growth. He graduated from Lake City Community College with a degree in Turf Sciences, a testament to his dedication and love for nature. 

Thad is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Pate, and their children: Sydney Pate, Wyatt Pate, Colt Pate, and Michael Studdard, new granddaughter, LaKayla. He also leaves behind his mother, Bea Pate, and his in-laws, Mark and Gwen Wells. Thad was preceded in death by his father, Jim Pate.

Thad’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his spirit will continue to inspire those were fortunate enough to have known him. As we bid a farewell to Thad, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love and friendship. Thad will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A Graveside Service will be held for Thad at 2:00PM, on Thursday, February 20, 2025 with Pastor Jason Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home from 1:00PM until 2:00PM prior to the service.
