Timothy Wayne Johnson, known to many as T.J., passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 67. He was born on June 15, 1958, in Conyers, Georgia, and lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family.
T.J. devoted his whole life to his career as a truck driver, a profession that reflected his dependable nature and strong work ethic. He took pride in his work and understood the value of dedication, responsibility, and perseverance. Through the years, he built a life centered on steady commitment and the simple dignity of doing a job well. His years on the road were a testament to his resilience and his willingness to provide for those he loved.
Beyond his work, T.J. was a man who embraced life with enthusiasm and a friendly, outgoing personality. He loved drag racing and found excitement in the energy and spirit of the sport. He also enjoyed family outings, where time spent together created memories that will be cherished for years to come. T.J. was social by nature and enjoyed spending time with his friends, sharing conversation, laughter, and companionship with those around him. His presence brought comfort and familiarity, and he had a way of making others feel welcome.
Family was central to T.J.’s life, and he treasured the people closest to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie Mae Neely Johnson and Jere Johnson, and his brother, Joseph “Marty” Johnson. Their memory remained an important part of his story and the foundation of the family he helped carry forward. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Johnson, who shared in his life and stood beside him through the years. He also leaves behind his children, Corey Johnson and Brandy Glass, as well as Christy Peppers and spouse Danny Peppers. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Kaleb Moon, Kyle Moon, Kailey Bunch, Chandler Calhoun, and Kroy “KJ” Johnson, and his great-grandchildren, Kennedy Bunch and Addison Bunch.
Those who knew T.J. will remember him as a hardworking man with a generous heart and a lively personality. He was outgoing, easy to talk to, and deeply connected to the people and experiences that made life meaningful to him.
Timothy Wayne Johnson leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and a community of friends who will miss him greatly.
