Mr. Tommy Underwood, age 73, passed away Friday, September 18, 2020. He was born on September 10, 1947 to Charlie and Gladys Underwood who have preceded him in death. Mr. Underwood was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. His grandchildren were loved dearly and a very important part of his life. Mr. Underwood was known as a hard worker who enjoyed deer hunting. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and worked at Leggett and Platt formerly known as Southern Textiles for many years. Mr. Underwood is preceded in death by his grandson Joshua Williams, brother Boone Underwood, and a son-in-law Dave Wilcox. He is survived by his daughters; Pamela Coop, Tammy Wilcox, and Amanda Ingram along with their spouses, his grandchildren Kane and Cole Coop, Shelby Underwood, Levi and Alyssa Wilcox, Joshalynn Ingram, his great grandchildren Hannah Williams, and Nolan Coop along with the mother of his children Patsy Underwood. Mr. Underwood is also survived by numerous other family members and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Underwood will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Mr. Thad Parris officiating. Interment will follow at Granade Cemetery, Conyers, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday prior to the service. J.C.
