Viola (Hood) Seabolt

Mrs. Viola Seabolt, age 87, of Covington passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023.  She was born November 8, 1935 in Sandersville, Georgia to Wesley and Emma Hood who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Seabolt spent most of her adult life in the Walnut Grove and Covington area.  She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. 

Mrs. Seabolt loved life and enjoyed traveling and eating catfish which she did weekly with her family and longtime friend Granny B.  She was devoted Christian and attended Truth Chapel.  Mrs. Seabolt was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Seabolt, Sr., her daughter Nancy Seabolt, her grandson Little Roy Harrelson, and her grandson Shane Seabolt.  She is survived by her children Robin Crowe (Danny) of Covington, Sheila Bolton (Chris) of Loganville, Bob Seabolt (Shanne) of Crawford, and Denise Owen (Charles Clay) of Oxford; her 10 grandchildren; her 16 great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Seabolt will be held at 3 o’clock Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home with Pastor Cortt Chavis officiating.  Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Travis Seabolt, Daniel Crowe, Michael Owen, Steven Owen, Kingston Hawkins, and JohnRobert Lickteig.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 and again from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service of Thursday.  Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.donate.cancer.org .
