Wanda Lynne Fincher

Mrs. Wanda Fincher, age 73, of Covington, Georgia passed away Friday, March 25, 2022.  She was born in Selmer, Tennessee on September 9, 1948 to Hugh and Janice Rogers who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Fincher is leaving behind her two dogs, Dakota and Layla who she adored.  She loved spending time with her family and gave the best hugs.  Mrs. Fincher enjoyed having visitors and would challenge them to a game of chess or her favorite card game, Rook.  She was a “talker” and never met a stranger.  Mrs. Fincher also loved flowers and just life in general.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Harper Grace Fincher and her sisters, Kay and Diane.

Mrs. Fincher is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Billy Fincher; children, Tracy Fincher, Michael Fincher (Allison), Justin Fincher (Stephanie), Kristi Thomas (Jason); grandchildren, Austin Kennedy, Austin Thomas, Kalub, Audrey, Jacob, Joshua, Logan, Cameron; great-grandson, Jackson Kennedy; siblings, Jim Rogers (Mary Doug), Vicki Singleton (Joe); many nieces, nephews, other family member, and friends.  A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 2 o’clock at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service. 

Governor Brian Kemp has lifted the restrictions for large gatherings and other recommendations throughout Georgia.  However, we ask that you still be respectful of the family and others during this time. If you are sick, not feeling well, or have any symptoms of COVID 19, please do not attend the service or services.  If you feel the need to wear a mask, please do so.
