Wanda “B” Burns, a loving and compassionate soul, passed away at the age of 61 on August 21, 2025. Born on July 29, 1964, to Ester Stephenson and the late John Burns, Wanda grew up filled with warmth and the desire to care for others, a trait that would come to define her entire life.
Wanda was predeceased by her father, John Burns, and her sister, Brenda Burns. Her legacy of love is carried on by her devoted mother, Esther Stephenson, her cherished children Marian Hadaway, Cody Burns, and Brad Burns, as well as her adoring grandchildren Destiny, Austin, Rebecca, Braylin, Brantsen, Colton, Briar, Brendaleigh, and Breeze. She was a proud great-grandmother to Baylor and is fondly remembered by her numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.
Wanda dedicated herself to the care of others as a healthcare aide and caregiver, a role through which she touched many lives with her kindness and unwavering support. Wanda’s nurturing spirit was mirrored in her personal interests; she spent countless hours immersed in the stories and challenges of crossword puzzles, and always looked forward to the lively escapades showcased on "Jerry Springer." These simple pleasures brought Wanda immense joy and contributed to the extraordinary tapestry of a life rooted in kindness and love.
Described best as loving and kind, Wanda's impact stretched far beyond her immediate family. Anyone who knew her can attest to the warmth and care she extended to all. In moments of need, Wanda was a beacon of support, a figure whose generosity knew no bounds. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the memories she created, the lives she enriched, and the love she shared will forever resonate with those who were privileged to know her.
