William Braydon Butler, known affectionately as Braydon to his loved ones, passed away on April 13, 2025, at the young age of 20. Born on March 21, 2005.
Braydon was the beloved son of Linda Brown and her husband, Danny, as well as Branndon Butler and his wife, Jessica. He grew up surrounded by the love and guidance of his siblings Keith Ethridge, married to Madi, Jade Prince, Jeremiah Prince, and Braylon. His life was enriched by the strong family bonds he shared with his living grandparents Bruce and Wanda Edwards, Ronne and Connie Brown, Billy and Amy Butler, and Jennifer Butler, as well as his cherished great grandfather Bay Lewis, and great grandparents Billy and Harriett Edwards, and T.R. and Joy Duffy. Although he was preceded in death by his great grandmother Janie Lewis, grandfather Norris Mitchell, great grandmother Martha Brownlee, great grandfather Amos Pugh, great grandparents Shirley and Newt Raymond Butler, their memories and teachings remained a guiding force in his life. Braydon's loving girlfriend, Jessica Dial, stood by him as a testament to his capacity for deep affection and companionship.
Braydon's zest for life extended to the baseball field, where he found joy and purpose in coaching little league, instilling in young players the same love for the game that he held dear. Every other Friday night, he could be found at Repairs of the Breach, where he dedicated his time to feeding the homeless, an act that spoke volumes about his character and his empathy for those less fortunate.
Braydon began his career at the Sheriff’s Office through the High School Explorers program at 14 years old where he found his passion to serve others through law enforcement. Braydon graduated from high school in Barrow County and was hired as a Detention Officer where he started his path to becoming a Deputy Sheriff. Braydon worked hard and was only 4 weeks away from graduating the Northeast Georgia Police Academy along with several other Cadets but tragically his life ended.
Anyone who knew Braydon knew he loved to serve God and others first. All he ever wanted to do was use his servant heart to be a light to others as he was anytime you were around him. Although our hearts are broken, we know Braydon was welcomed into the arms of our Lord. In true Braydon fashion even after death he is still serving others by saving lives through his organ donations.
As a proud member of the Solid Rock Motorcycle Ministry, Braydon combined his passion for motorcycles with his deep-rooted faith, joining a community of like-minded individuals who shared his commitment to fellowship and service.
A Memorial Service for Braydon will be at 11:00AM on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Solid Rock Church with Pastor Josh Franklin officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 4:00PM until 6:00PM on Friday, April 18, 2025 at J.C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home.
The Butler family requests donations in loving memory of Braydon be made to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office Employee Fund. https://donate.stripe.com/test_7sI4jc3lPdGSfsI7st
