William "Billy" Griswell, Jr

Mr. William “Billy” Griswell, Jr., age 79, of Covington passed away Monday, December 16, 2024.  He was born in Atlanta on October 21, 1945.  Mr. Griswell was a talented upholsterer and worked for his father and was self employed for many years.  He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting.  A strong man of faith Mr. Griswell was a member of Central Church for many years.  He was preceded in death by his mother Loretta Brooks, his father Bill Griswell, his sister Carolyn Griswell, his brother Randy Griswell, and his son Randy Griswell.

Mr. Griswell is survived by wife Wanda Griswell; his daughters Judy McGiboney and Darlene Smith; his grandchildren Kenny Cartledge, Chase McGiboney, Andrea Fuesting, Brandy Casey, and Hunter Smith.  He is also survived by his great grandchildren Kayla, Brittany, Noah, Lilly, Austin, Dylan, and Madison; his great-great grandchildren De Angelo and Kay Loni; his siblings Barbara Staples, Dianne Kuykendall, Robert Griswell, Ricky Griswell, James Huffman, and DeeDee Day; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Griswell will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Central Church, 11157 City Pond Road, Covington, GA 30014.
