Zanona A Parrish

Mrs. Zanona A. Parrish, age 90, of Oxford, Georgia passed away Friday, February 23, 2024. She was born on September 19, 1933 in Pelham, Ga to Pollye Schalck and was raised by her and her loved step-father Elmer C. Schalck. Both have preceded her in death. Mrs. Parrish graduated from Bass High School in Atlanta. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and socialized with the Ladies of Grace and her TOPS friends. Mrs. Parrish was the secretary at Forrest Hills Christian School for many years. She retired from the Army Corps of Engineers. She had a beautiful singing voice and used it in churches and choirs all over Atlanta. She spent her time going to yard sales and was an avid reader. Mrs. Parrish loved her grandchildren and adored all her family. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandbaby, Suri Clare Glanton.

Mrs. Parrish is survived by her children, Chris and Geoffrey Parrish, Lori Ann MacLagan, her beloved daughter Cindy Glanton, twenty-one grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, other family members and close friends.

Graveside services will be held February 27, 2024 at 2:00pm at Sewell Church Cemetery with Pastor Joel Singleton officiating.
