Barbara S. (DeMille) Johnson

Mrs. Barbara Johnson, age 89, of Social Circle passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024.  She was born Monday, July 16, 1934 in Springfield, Missouri to Lacey Ray and Fredia Pauline DeMille who have preceded her in death.  Mrs. Johnson was a member of Stewart Community Church and loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  In her younger years she enjoyed waterskiing, boating, bowling and the outdoors.  Mrs. Johnson was a retired real estate agent and motivational speaker. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Johnson.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Mike and Wanda Johnson of Social Circle; her daughter and son-in-law Judy and Mickey Mauldin of Social Circle; her daughter and son in law Michelle and Kevin Plummer; her daughter and son-in-law Christy and Otis Halsey; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and many close friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 with Josh Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until service time on Wednesday.
