Jeannette (Zimmerman) Johnson

Jeannette Marie Johnson, age 63, of Stockbridge passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024.  She was born November 23, 1960 in Sarasota, Florida to Chuck and Tally Zimmerman.  Jeannette grew up in Sarasota and graduated from Riverview High School.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University.  Jeannette enjoyed antiques, arts and crafts, and was a talented jewelry maker.  She was Catholic by faith and grew up attending Incarnation Catholic Church in Sarasota, Florida. Jeannette was preceded in death by her father Charles Zimmerman, Jr. She was a loving and attentive mother to her two kids while they were growing up. 

Jeannette is survived by her mother Tally Zimmerman of Covington; her daughter and son-in-law Alyx and Michael Woodruff of Ohio; her son Adam Johnson of Oklahoma; her grandchildren Amelia, and Adeline; her siblings Chuck Zimmerman, III, (Cindy) of Cantonment, FL, Cecelia DeRuiter (Billy) of Jacksonville, FL, Mark Zimmerman of Covington, and Paul Zimmerman (Laura) of Newborn; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and numerous close friends.

Funeral services for Jeannette will be held at 12 o’clock Thursday, March 21, 2024 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Roberto Orellana officiating.  A reception will follow the service at the church in the fellowship hall.  Interment will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Newborn Historical Cemetery.
