"Mr. Sam" was the perfect "Southern Gentleman".  I have known him and his family for many years and always appreciated the things he did for my mom on the school board as well as all the things he has done for the community.  He was so kind and always speaking to everyone.  He will be missed and I pray for his family and the children as this is one of the hardest times to go thru.  May God be with you and your family.  Another wonderful man has entered the gates of heaven and will be missed here on earth so much!  Love ya all!

Louise and I regret your loss, and can only ask that you take solace in the sure knowledge that Sam chose his path and traveled it the way the Lord intended.  He didn't want to continue if he couldn't be rid of the pain, which took the same kind of courage he displayed throughout his life.  I'm grateful to have had some quiet moments with him in private over the years, and to have had a glimpse of his inner self.  May God comfort and protect the family as you heal and move toward a joyful remembrance of the good times.

My deepest Sympathy to Mrs. Louly and family.  Mr. Sam was one of my favorite Georgia Agribusiness Council Board members!  He was always encouraging & supportive and I loved his wonderful sense of humor & genuine personality.  We always had a fun time "discussing" the BIG Georgia/Auburn game and one of us had fun boasting afterwards.
May you and your family feel God's loving arms wrapped around you today and in the coming days. Prayers and Hugs.

May God's grace and peace comfort you all during this time of your and the community's loss. I've known Mr. Sam for many years as we had a common interest in farming and cattle. In later years he constructed our office and shop here in Covington. Thank you Mr. Sam and Sunbelt for your friendship and business. You will be missed.

To the family of Mr. Sam,

Mr. Sam was one of the dearest men that I have known in my lifetime. I always loved getting a "Mr. Sam Hug" !!!! He was a very humble person, a man that was a great example to others. Few people make such an impact on one's life, Mr. Sam was definitely one of them. You are a Blessed family, a very Blessed family.
Much Love to all,
Lisa

To Louly and the Hay Family,

I was greatly saddened to hear of Sam's passing.  He was a friend and stalwart in the cattle industry. I remember the years we spent working together in the cattlemen's association and in particular our trip together with Gene Odum to Bobby Joe Lee's place in Tulullah, La. to see his confinement cattle feedlot.  It was always a treat to see y'all at the cattlemen's convention.  I do pray that Our Gracious God will grant to you His peace that passes all understanding.  Please accept my sincerest sympathy.  Mike

My deepest condolences and sadness. Mr. Sam was one of the kindest, most gracious men I knew of "old Covington."  I came in 1986 as a young home economist and he was always so nice. I know my late husband, David, felt the same way about Mrs. Louly. You not h raised a great legacy in our hearts and in our community.  Love to your entire family and prayers in your great loss.
